Of King's Isle is een kleinschalige JRT kennel aan de rand van Brugge, ooit gekend als het 'koningseiland'. De link met onze naam is snel gemaakt.
Of King's Isle heeft als doel goede Engelse en Australische JRT bloedlijnen samen te brengen. We trachten qua rasstandaard te voldoen aan alle eisen. Karakter, opvoeding en jachtinstinct/werkcapaciteiten zijn van belang.
Onze JRT zijn in een heel sociaal en veelzijdig milieu opgevoed. Mensen, honden, paarden en kinderen,... zijn voor hen deel van hun dagdagelijkse leven. Hun leven speelt zich zowel binnen- als buitenshuis af. Er wordt veel aandacht besteed aan gezonde socialisatie.
Ons doel is tevens de Jack Russell Terriër te eerbiedigen in al zijn aspecten, en te geven wat hen nu net dat ietsje meer onderscheidt van andere honden.
Of King's Isle baseert zijn bloedlijnen op broer en zus Karrell Magnifique Maggie en Karrell Milo Haha, gefokt door Ron & Jan Trout van de Karrell Kennel uit Queensland, Australië. Deze 2 prachtige Jack Russell Terriërs geven een ongelooflijk zacht en vrij karakter door. Nakomelingen met uitstraling, jachtinstinct en loyaliteit leven verder in hun nakomelingen. Count Cortez Van Ons Eiland, onze allereerste JRT reu was een zoon van Magnifique Maggie.
De alomgekende Malung JRT liggen als oorsprong achter deze honden. Deze schitterende bloedlijnen kennen hun oorsprong uit de "Famous Four", nl. Malung Orinoco, Malung Jim Bean, Malung Laird of Joyreve en Malung Niniane Swynford.
DNA profiel is gekend van al onze JRT door Progenus. Via DNA testing (Zoolyx ) staat vast dat onze JRT vrij zijn van erfelijke oogafwijkingen zoals PLL, PRA en andere erfelijke ziektes zoals Ataxie. Tevens zijn ze vrij bevonden van patella luxatie.

Of King's Isle not only stands for Jack Russell Terriers that define themselves with breeding standards, but also have an excellent temperament, education and as a working terrier.
Our Terriers are educated in a very sociale and multi-purpose environment. Humans, dogs, horses, children, are a daily part of their life. Their life takes place both out and indoors. A lot of attention is given to socialisation with all aspects of daily living.
Of King's Isle has also as aim to respect the Jack Russell Terrier in all its aspects, and to give them just that little bit more distinction of other dogs.
The bloodlines of Of King's Isle are based on Count Cortez Van Ons Eiland, our very first JRT male. His incredably soft and free temperament, gorgeous head and looks, hunting instinct and loyalty lives further among his progeny. Cortez is a son of Karrell Magnifique Magie and nephew of Karrell Milo Haha. bred by Ron and Jan Trout from the Karrell Kennel in Queensland, Australia.
The famous Malung JRT are at the origin of these dogs. These brilliant bloodlines have their origin in the "Famous Four": Malung Orinoco, Malung Jim Bean, Malung Laird Of Joyreve and Malung Niniane Swynford.
